HF Updates
Spring abstinence training events:
Registration
open!
We are happy to report our first round of faith-based trainings which
happened in Boston and Hartford, CT were very well received! Our youth
night was also well attended and the Shekinah Dance Team, Code A, Disciple,
and Redeemed Praise thoroughly entertained us with their positive
messages. As for the trainings, our participants wrote how they enjoyed
the interactive workshops and inspiringly informative general session.
Many said their only critique was that the trainings should have been
longer!
The
good news is you don't have to wait any
longer for more trainings. The dates have been set
and registration is underway. They are as follows: Hartford,
CT (February 11, 2006) - Rochester, NH (February 25, 2006) - Boston, MA
(March 4, 2006). Click

Important HF news- we need you!
This past December, while in the midst of planning our
trainings for the upcoming spring, we received some unexpected news.
Due to reasons unrelated to the performance of our program, the
grantor decided to withdraw its funds. In light of this unexpected
loss and in order to continue to provide services, we have developed
a reconfiguration plan that reduces our operating budget by 40%. This
means we need to limit our services to only providing the
training workshops that have been so successful. At this point
we deem this to be the most cost-effective way to continue pursuing
our goal of equipping churches to deal with one of its most pressing
concerns in youth ministry.
Would
you consider standing with us to transform a difficult circumstance
into an outstanding testimony? To meet even our new modest budget and do
what we feel is best to meet the needs of today's church, we have
to call on others to help us. If you wish to give a
financial gift that would help our faith-based program continue,
simply click the donation
link. We greatly appreciate your support and the opportunity
to share our ministry with you

Who says abstinence isn't good for your
health?
On June 4 th we proved our point by holding the first ever Doin'
It Right three mile hike for abstinence. Teens from the Greater Boston
area and beyond converged on Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, MA to
enjoy a variety of great bands in the outdoors, all for a good cause.
All proceeds raised through pledges for the hikers went directly to benefiting
young teens and moms. Thanks to everyone who made it such a memorable
event! To check out photos go to http://hike.doinitright.org/ |
Iron
Sharpens Iron Men's Conferences
We exhibited at two of their five conferences
in New England: Hartford, CT and Portsmouth , NH . It was
our privilege to connect with pastors, youth workers, and Dads
from these regions. We are continually blessed by how God
uses our booth as a safe place for those we meet to be open and
honest about their experiences on the issue of sexual purity. It's
our favorite part of any conference. |
Immanuel
Church (Chelmsford , MA)
Pastor Jim Petipas invited us to give two presentations, first
to the parents and then to the Senior High youth. Over 25 parents showed up to be empowered and educated on how to talk to their kids about sexual purity. We were impressed by their willing hearts and thoughtful questions. The Senior High youth were a lot of fun. Tons of character(s) and it was obvious the high value each of them placed on God's truth. We really enjoyed the opportunity to share such an important message with them. |
Grotonwood
Urban Winter Camp
We
recently took part in the annual Grotonwood Urban Winter Camp put on
by the Youth Ministry Development Project of the Emmanuel Gospel Center.
We presented three workshops to 130 youth, one general session and
two separate sessions for guys and girls. |
CONGRESS 2005
It was our first experience at Congress 2005, New England 's largest gathering
of New England ministries. We
enjoyed connecting with a variety of youth workers and presenting a workshop
for parents on talking to their kids about sex with Terri Beal of PreVeil
Inc.
